I started looking for a host agency in the beginning of January ‘08. The same day I started looking, I found the website for Travel Quest. Two days later I signed up. You can't beat the programs they offer. The support is wonderful. After being out of the business for 6 years, they helped me get back in the game. As an owner of several businesses, I began working with Travel Quest the day Bonnie Lee opened Travel Quest. I have known Bonnie for 11 years and know her to be a person of high integrity and honesty. I worked with Bonnie as an IC when we were at two other host agencies prior to starting her own full-service, ARC appointed location. To be certain, the previous host agencies said all the right things, promised the right things, and ultimately, failed miserably at delivering. In fact, neither of them are still in business.

Travel Quest of Monticello was born from Bonnie's desire to create an agency where she could be in control of her destiny and not be at the mercy of someone else. In my discussions with Bonnie and her husband, Walt, I enjoyed the excitement they brought back to the business with their clear vision and stated goals. So impressed was I, that I asked to be an IC with Travel Quest before the doors were open. I have never regretted my decision. I've been working professionally in the travel business for over 12 years as a home-based agency. The characteristics that I look for in a host agency are buying power, flexibility, and attitude. Travel Quest of Monticello has all three.

Travel Quest is large enough that they have visibility among vendors and commission overrides to increase our income. The vendors I commonly use are all at or near the top of the commission structure, and, where they are not at the top of the commission structure, they are actively working to increase that business.

While it's easy for us to look at each other as competitors, our real competitors are other businesses that compete for discretionary income- car, computers, furniture, etc. Travel Quest looks for ways to connect agents in their network to share knowledge and also share their own knowledge. They have marketing savvy coming from the years of building their business that they share and look for cooperative ventures with agents in their network. They want to see us succeed in this business and work toward that goal.

I have been working with Travel Quest for the past 4 years, and it has been a wonderful experience! Her staff is very easy, knowledgeable, and professional to work with. Twice a year she schedules time for all of us agents to get together and meet with our Preferred Vendors to heard the latest news and ask questions.
